The structure engages with the spatial perceptions of the viewer – by disrupting their balance. The viewer must walk through the installation. Its concave and slightly rising terrain causes the viewer to consciously control and intensively feel their every step.

When first approaching the structure, the viewer can only see its concave curvature. Its ascent is not visible at first sight and the visitor can only perceive it once they enter into the structure. They thus perceive sensations that are completely automated when walking on a level surface. They do not sense “firm ground” under their feet. The sensation felt when walking through the structure is rather like walking on a narrow trite mountain or forest path.
