Competition for the best design of the Otto Wichterle‘s Memorial /2004/ visualization
The memorial was designed to match with the area of Heyrovske Square, where the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry in Prague is situated. This scientific institution was founded by Prof. Otto Wichterle, famous Czech chemist and inventor (the father of modern flexible contact lenses and synthetic materials like nylon), who worked there until his death in 1998.
There is a line of flashes running through the park. On entering the path a "ray of light" is gradually lighting up in the direction of the institute and is fading under the stairs.
